Birthday Stuff

So, Yesterday was my birthday. I think I’m getting an impact toy for my birthday that leaves butterfly shaped bruises where it lands. The impact toy will be FOR Master, of course… but evidently it’s mine? I don’t get that at all. I mean a gift for me should be for me.

Maybe I’ll change my tune when there are 33 butterfly shaped bruises on my fleshy parts… Then I might be able to better appreciate the gift.

Celestial Love

Fascinating Womanhood teaches a woman to behave in ways that inspire her husband/mate to love her in a way that the author refers to as “celestial love”. Here’s the way she describes it.

“It lifts love out of the mediocre and places it on a heavenly plane. It is the flowers rather than the weeds; the banquet rather than the crumbs. … Celestial love is not dutiful. It is spontaneous, warm and tender. When a man truly loves a woman, he experiences a deep feeling within. At times, it can be intense, almost like a pain. He may feel enchanted and fascinated with a tender desire to protect the woman and shelter the woman from harm, danger, and difficulty.

I have seen this love. I have felt it from my husband on more than one occasion. The time I see it most is when I am particularly vulnerable and am allowing myself to be as open to him as possible. I see it also when I am responding to him with the whimsy of a girl rather than the knowing ways of a woman. When I allow him in, my husband loves me this way and shows his love to me in this way. In the past it was rare glances, but now, I see this more from him. When I was a slave, I was always so exasperated with chores, and the DOING of things, that I didn’t have time to let him see me vulnerable and open in this way, though I was always vulnerable and open in other ways.

I’m understanding that now.

FW divides a woman into two sets of qualities men respond to in ideal women: Angelic qualities and Human qualities. Angelic qualities are things like Inner Happiness, Worthy Character, and being a domestic Goddess. Human qualities are things like being feminine, being childlike and having a sense of wonder, and having radiant health. Men respond to both types of qualities and women who possess the total package inspire in a man Celestial Love.

So this week, I’ll be reading through the Celestial Love chapters to see how I can learn to inspire Husband to this type of love all the instead of on rare occasions. This book is actually really great for submitted types.

PRESENTS!!

I got this a while, back, but… Look what Master got me on account of how fucking awesome I am! It kicks so much ass, I’ll tell you what. I LURVE my phone. Master Husband’s (I have no idea what to call him now.. D seems too informal and Master seems too over the top.. I’m leaning toward “dude”, but he’d beat my ass.) only requirements for me to have this lovely kickass phone are that I don’t go over my minutes, which is easy because I don’t have anyone’s phone number, and that I use the tweetwhatyoueat and tweetwhatyouspend applications to keep up with my food and money on the fly. That’s easy too, because, well.. twitter. durh.

Anyway, it’s so full of awesome that awesome leaks out sometimes.  THEN for my birthday, which is next week, He got me some applications that make it even MORE fantabulous.

The reason I’ve been tweaking the hell out of layouts this week is because, well, I couldn’t find one that looked the same on my phone as it does on the internet and NOW I have, so it’s likely I’ll be sticking with this layout for a while. Plus, I like the graphic I made for the top. It fits since Master and I are getting legally hitched in July. We’ve been religiously hitched for a while now, but legally, we’re not yet a couple and for certain things, you know, like insurance, the state says we have to get the paper signed by some other guy and give them some money, so we’re gonna do that.

Anyway, the whole purpose of this post was to introduce you to my phone, announce our upcoming wedding, and tell you about the theme. I’ve done that… and now I’m going to go watch “Mistress of Spices” and kill my Sims. I’m sick in bed and that’s what sick in bed people do.
